Every day on my way to work I tune in and listen intently to the first 12 minutes of the
Steve Harvey Radio Show, its my slap in the face and wake up ritual. My life has changed
for the better day after day just by the words Steve Harvey says and the way he delivers it
makes me think and absorb it. One example that I practice is, I don't say "try" or "I tried"
anymore because Steve Harvey teaches "Trying is a noble way of explaining your failures"
that makes so much sense and it's words I now live by.

Another teaching is "The Road To Success Is Always Under Construction" there is always a
bump in the road and you have to switch lanes so I applied this theory to changing my
eating habits and began a low carb diet and lost 76lbs from (Aug 1st, 2014 to Jan 14th 2015)
my wife also joined my low carb diet 2 weeks after I started and has lost 65lbs so far.
People began to give me compliments every day building my self confidence and truly
feeling good about myself. What a positive way of living your life by being the example
your friends, co-workers and family are using for what they want to do or be.
I began a dialog with God again and this is also credited to Steve Harvey, because he
made me think and made me see things in my life I was not grateful for, so many blessings
God for everything in my life, things got a lot brighter and it's getting brighter every day
we're given. At first I felt dumb because I abandoned the whole "God Theory" and now
Steve has me thinking I really messed up because Steve teaches "scientist say 'show me
and to my astonishment things started changing for the better and I felt energized and
thankful for the message that was given to me from Steve about "HAVING FAITH".
These could have been said before by others but I never heard them until Steve Harvey
said it in his own unique delivery style.
One of my favorite messages is "This Isn't Instant Coffee We're Making" making the analogy
between gourmet coffee process and instant coffee process while traveling on the road to
success. Instant coffee is quick, fast, freeze dried and taste kind of crappy.
water it, nurture it, harvest it, roast it, package it, ship it and you buy it...
Then you grind the fresh coffee, set the correct temperature, brew the coffee,
and enjoy the aroma and great taste, well the road to success is NOT INSTANT COFFEE,
its a process that has to be initiated in order to achieve a great product or service.
Steve says in the book Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success,
"Spending your hard-earned dollars to purchase Act Like a Success, Think Like a Success
is an indication that you are serious about taking your life to a new level and
attaining all that the world has to offer you. And this book will not let you down in
helping you get there."
I'm so thankful I bought Steve's book, "Act like a success, Think like a success"
because I'm growing everyday thanks to Steve Harvey's infinite wisdom
